He who conceals his hatred has lying lips, and whoever spreads slander is a fool.

He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.

The one who conceals hatred has lying lips, and whoever utters slander is a fool.

Liars secretly hoard hatred; fools openly spread slander.

Whoever hides hatred has lying lips, And whoever spreads slander is a fool.

To hide hatred is to be a liar; to slander is to be a fool.

He is especially a fool who thinks to hide anything from God; and malice is no better.

¹⁶ The wages of the righteous is life, but the earnings of the wicked are sin and death.

¹⁷ Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life, but whoever ignores correction leads others astray.

¹⁸ Whoever conceals hatred with lying lips and spreads slander is a fool.

¹⁹ Sin is not ended by multiplying words, but the prudent hold their tongues.

²⁰ The tongue of the righteous is choice silver, but the heart of the wicked is of little value.
