A Prayer to Ease Pain

Almighty Father, Thank you for your love, grace, and mercy. I pray that my discomforts will turn to comforts, my pains to gains, my deprivation to more blessings, my losses to profits, my tear to smiles, my sorrows to pleasures, my illness to wellness, my debts to credits and my dreams to realities.

As the Scripture said, “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” And he “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

I trust in you Lord and in you alone to heal me with any form of skepticism towards blessing that you will be employed upon me. I trust, Lord, that this agony and suffering that is only in my head, will come to end and positivism will shine upon me as I read, hear, study, and preach the truth in the Bible.

Most gracious and loving Father, I want to thank You for all the blessings You've given me, my family and friends, and all those I hold dear.

A Prayer for Self-Healing and Love

Gracious and Loving God, I know that your word declares that I am made in your image. You call me your child and speak words of ceaseless grace and eternal mercy. But I have a hard time accepting these truths for myself. When I look at myself, I see only my faults, my insufficiencies, and my mistakes. I see a sinner to be condemned rather than a child to be loved. 

Help me to see who I am in your sight. Help me claim my belovedness when I am tempted to deny it. Open my mouth in praise when I am tempted to speak words of rejection. 

Lord Jesus Christ, lead me into times of rest and healing. When I am threatened with being overworked, burnt out, exhausted, or discouraged, call me away from my busyness to rest in you. Give me the boldness to treat myself well, to work on my own healing, and to be at peace with who I am. Help me to delight in myself as you delight in me.

Heavenly Father, I long to be the person you have created me to be. Help me to express the love that you so lavishly bestow upon my life, and may I respond to your Spirit that continues to transform me in your grace. Healing Prayer from the Bible

Heavenly Father, Your Word declares that You are the God who heals us. I come before You now, seeking Your healing touch, knowing that Your promises are true and steadfast.

In faith, I declare the words from Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases." Lord, I thank You for the forgiveness of my sins and I ask for Your healing power to flow through me.

I believe in the truth of James 5:15, which says, "And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up." I present my affliction before You, trusting that as I pray in faith, You will bring forth healing and restoration.

I hold onto the promise from Isaiah 53:5 that "by His wounds we are healed." Lord Jesus, You bore our sicknesses and carried our pains upon the cross. I invite Your healing virtue to flow through my body, bringing wholeness and wellness.

At this moment, I surrender my pain, my illness, and my worries to You, knowing that You are the Great Physician. May Your healing power be manifest in my life, according to Your perfect will.

I declare Your words from Jeremiah 30:17, that You will restore health to me and heal my wounds. I trust in Your faithfulness, and I wait expectantly for Your healing touch.

In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

I'm coming to you today as your child, longing to hear from you and asking for your divine healing. There's so much I don't understand about life. I don't always know what your will is Lord, especially in times like now, when I desperately seek your face. I offer you no promises, no bargains, no deals to exchange for my health. However you choose to accomplish that is up to you—and okay with me. If you use doctors to provide healing, give them wisdom to know what to do. How to Pray for Healing

The following is a transcript from a video by Max Lucado: How Should I Pray to God for Healing?

We can ask our heavenly father to heal us because he wants us to be whole. He wants us to be whole in our spirit, soul, and body. Remember, the big idea of the Bible is to reestablish the Garden of Eden, to take us back to the way we were, and Adam and Eve didn't struggle with bursitis or spinal issues or cricks in the neck. So, wherever there is a sickness, there is an opportunity for God to display his glory.

Now, where we get tangled up is when is God going to display his glory? And to what degree are we going to be healed? But in the book I talk about, we've got to begin by remembering that sickness is under the domain of God. He didn't create it, but he still has authority over it. So in the book, I say you can expect to be healed. Will you be healed immediately? I hope so. Will you be healed gradually? That happens quite often. But all of us will be healed ultimately, and it's not a cop-out to say that our healing will happen on the other side of death. That's the ultimate healing.

But we can take absolute assurance that healing will come. If he heals you gradually, that means that this particular affliction is being used for his glory, for the development of your character, maybe as a sermon. You know, one of the men in our church has struggled with a muscular issue for many, many years. But boy, he is such an example. All of us have met people who inspire us through their affliction. So, that could be part of their testimony, but God is still healing them. And then all of us will be healed ultimately.

So, talking to God about what hurts us physically is essential during prayer. It really is. And to let God speak to that and to comfort us, to bring wisdom into that part of our lives.
